Django Advent is obviously inspired by many "advent calendar" websites out there, the most famous of which is likely 24ways.org.
The site itself is built with Django, and happily "dog fooding" by running on the 1.2 beta release to power this site. Unfortunately it was a little late in the game to experiment too much with some 1.2 niceties, but as a 1.2 token feature this site is happily using class based syndication for its Atom feeds.
In addition to our progressive choice of Django revision, the site was designed and built with an HTML 5 doctype and a generous helping of CSS 3. As such, the site has extra bling in webkit browsers, e.g. Google Chrome or Apple's Safari.
Thanks
