Alex Gaynor is a sophomore computer science student at Rensselaer Polytechnic institute, and a web developer working for Eldarion. He's been using Django for about two years, and contributing for almost as long. In addition to working on Django itself he also contributes to external projects such as Pinax, django-debug-toolbar, and has started a few of his own, such as django-filter, and django-taggit. He's passionate about good APIs, scalability, and compilers.
